TENGi Showcases at UNCCD COP17 China Corner Side Event

On August 20, Zhengzhou Zhongxi Energy Co., Ltd. (TENGi) made its debut at the "China Pavilion" side event of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP17). Under the theme of *"Empowering Coordinated Development of Grassland Ecology and Livelihoods with Renewable Energy,"* the side event focused on grassland ecological-restoration practices, the practical demand for low-carbon technologies in Mongolia, real-world new-energy deployment cases, and localized appropriate-technology outcomes. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on green-technology innovation, cross-border technology transfer, and international sustainable cooperation, exploring cooperative models that balance ecological protection with livelihood improvement. Representatives from the governments, enterprises, research institutions, and civil-society organizations of multiple countries gathered on-site to discuss new pathways for synergizing desertification control with renewable-energy development.

Today, global desertification, land degradation, and climate change are deeply intertwined. Advancing the integrated fusion of ecological restoration, renewable-energy development, and sustainable livelihoods is a vital direction for implementing the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and global energy-transition goals. China continues to advance its "dual carbon" strategy (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality) and the high-quality development of new energy, accumulating extensive practical achievements in areas such as PV-based ecological governance, grassland restoration, energy-storage deployment, green employment, and the export of appropriate technologies — offering a China solution for the green revitalization of desertified regions worldwide.

As an integrated energy-solution service provider, TENGi has deep expertise in photovoltaic power generation and energy-storage systems, focusing on delivering reliable green-energy services to pastoral areas, remote regions, and various off-grid scenarios. The company conducts technology R\&D and project implementation across distributed PV, energy-storage systems, microgrids, and smart energy management, actively driving new-energy technologies into grasslands, deserts, and countries along the "Belt and Road," and providing stable, clean, and efficient whole-system energy solutions for pastoral electrification, eco-environmental monitoring, water-security assurance, and community energy-infrastructure development.

At the side event, a TENGi executive delivered a keynote presentation, *"PV-Storage Application Solutions Suitable for Grasslands,"* spotlighting a towable, integrated PV-plus-storage house developed specifically for Mongolian grassland herders. This innovative product adopts a tractable, relocatable structure that perfectly suits the traditional production and lifestyle of nomadic peoples who rotate among pastures. Requiring no poured fixed foundations, it avoids land disturbance at the source and maximizes protection of the grassland's native vegetation and ecosystem. The house is equipped with a 10 kW rooftop PV system paired with a 20 kWh storage battery, enabling fully off-grid autonomous power supply that precisely addresses the industry pain points of absent grid coverage and unstable supply in pastoral areas — delivering stable, around-the-clock electricity for daily lighting, household appliances, and winter heating. The interior features scientifically planned functional zones with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, and independent bathroom, satisfying a herder family's full range of daily living needs in one stop. Meanwhile, the house uses high-standard insulation materials and offers exceptional weather resistance, calmly withstanding the grassland's extreme natural conditions — large day-night temperature swings and harsh winter snowstorms. Compared with traditional yurts, the integrated house markedly upgrades living comfort, safety, and tidiness; compared with fixed buildings, it holds the core advantages of free migration, flexible deployment, and lightweight investment — thoroughly breaking the traditional pastoral dilemma of housing and energy, and letting herders enjoy a modern, comfortable, and sustainable green living space even as they migrate. It truly realizes the unified multi-value of ecological protection, energy autonomy, and livelihood enhancement.

Grounded in the UN multilateral cooperation platform and dedicated to the green-energy innovation track, TENGi has always empowered ecological governance with technology and advanced global sustainable development with low-carbon strength. Desertification control, land restoration, and climate governance are a shared mission of our times for all humanity, bearing on global ecological security, the perpetuation of livelihoods, and future development. As a Chinese enterprise deeply engaged in the real-world application of new energy, TENGi leverages years of experience in R\&D and project deployment of distributed PV-storage and off-grid energy systems. Moving beyond the single dimension of energy supply, it builds scenario-based green solutions tailored to grasslands, deserts, and remote pastoral areas, using lightweight, replicable, and sustainable new-energy technology models to resolve the challenge of balancing ecological protection with economic development. Looking ahead, TENGi will continue to practice its dual-carbon development philosophy, iteratively optimize its eco-friendly new-energy products and solutions, actively participate in international cooperation on global ecological governance, and contribute TENGi's strength to global sustainable development!
